It’s been ages since the last news update. I started a label blog, and pretty much forgot to update the site, as we were giving label news as it happened via the blog. So if you want to keep real current please check both the website and the blog.

On with the news…. The next round of singles club singles will be shipping in late May. We have the single back for Tullycraft / Smittens, and we are waiting on singles from the plant on Andy from Denver / Red Pony Clock, Ideal Free Distribution / Poison Control Center, and Keith John Adams / Velcro Stars. Good news is the final 5 singles are well on their way as well. We have songs in by All Girl Summer Fun Band, Cars Can Be Blue, Apples in Stereo, James Husband, the Love Letter Band, and Patience Please. We are still waiting on songs from Of Montreal, Circulatory System, Tender Forever, and New Sound of Numbers. It’s looking like the final 5 singles and bonus stuff for those first 150 subscribers will ship in the fall sometime between Athens PopFest and CMJ.

Cars Can Be Blue have a new album called “Doubly Unbeatable” coming out on June 10th. You can preorder your copy that will ship last week of May for $15.00 which gets you the CD, a button, a bonus CD, and a ghetto CCBB t-shirt. Cars Can Be Blue will also be on tour in May through June. They will hit the road with new label mates Hot Pants Romance right after PopFest in August. Nate & Becky will tour for 2 weeks with them, then stay on the road till the end of the year. So if you want CCBB to play your house, basement, DIY space or in your town in general please send us an email as we are routing the tour now.

Fishboy are currently on the road and will hitting up the Midwest, northeast, and southeast all through April & May. The Smittens are heading overseas to play the Indietracks festival to coincide with the release of their new album “The Coolest Thing About Love”. We will be announcing a special pre-order real soon. The Lolligags are finishing up their new EP and it’s down to the final mixing and mastering over the next few weeks. Dan Geller (Kindercore, I Am the World Trade Center) is even doing a remix on the new EP. Athens PopFest will be announcing the line up for 2008 in the next two weeks, so people get ready. There are some big surprises this year line up wise. Cars Can Be Blue VIDEO CONTEST
Cars Can Be Blue have a new song on their myspace titled "Doctor". HHBTM would like all the Cars Can Be Blue fans to get out your home video camera and send in a video of yourself or your friends lip syncing the song. We are going to compile bits and pieces of your videos to make the first of many videos off their new album coming in early 2008. You will receive a special edition lathe cut single by cars can be blue for sending in a video, the single will ship when the new album comes out in mid spring 2008. There will only be as many 7" lathe cuts made as video submissions we get in. Videos should be mailed in on a DVD-R in AVI format to HHBTM CCBB Video P.O.Box 742, Athens, GA 30603. The deadline for the video submission is June 30th, 2008. By sending in a video you are granting HHBTM the rights to use it for promotional and commercial purposes pertaining to the song "Doctor" by Cars Can Be Blue.
